Melrose Little League Assessments

The Melrose Little League will schedule and coordinate multiple sessions for assessing the upcoming Spring Season players. These sessions are ususally performed in October. The fall assessments will be held at both at Conant Park and Monk Park and are run spanning two weekends on consecutive Saturdays and Sundays.

Once the dates are established for these events then these dates will be reflected on the MLL calendar and communicated to the previous season's team parents via email. 

The assessments are for any player that is will be playing in the Federal League, Minor League or will be moving up to the Major League.

Details of the Assessments

Players that will be on a Tee-ball team or were on on a Major League team in the previous season do not need to be assessed.

What skills are assessed?  --> Fielding, Pitching, Base-running and Hitting

What do I need to bring? ---> Gloves, Bats and Helmets ( some bats and helmets also available)

How long will it take? --> Usually about 30 minutes.

Do I need to attend both days? No, you only need to attend one day  

A typical schedule for assessments is displayed below:

Age 7 at 10:00am

Age 8 at 10:30 am

Age 9 at 11:00am

Age 10 at 11:30pm

Age 11 at 12:00pm

Age 12 at 12:30pm  


The age bracket time frames listed above are recommended times only. If you cannot attend the age specific scheduled time frame then please come when you can and we will slot you in as quickly as possible.
